We are more than just a jewelry brand—we are an all female staff of Milwaukee area artisans, designers and staff who are committed to supporting and empowering women. Our mission is to employ and support other women to follow and live their passions.
our designs
The goal in each of our designs is to make women feel beautiful, strong and confident. Each piece of jewelry we create tells a story, a story of the many roles that women play: stories of motherhood, friendship, milestones, accomplishments, success, struggles and love.
Our jewelry is meant to be worn everyday, not stored in a jewelry box; this is why we avoid fleeting fashion trends and instead look to nature, yoga, and the world around us for design inspiration.
quality of materials
We use materials that many other mid-level jewelry brands don’t. We use the highest quality metals, including 18k gold filled and sterling silver. Did you know that gold plating can wear off after only a couple times of wearing it? Yep—the plating is not sweat proof! Our gold filled metals contain 100X more gold content than most mid-level jewelry brands! We also source all of our materials in the US, and pay careful attention to the mining and distributing practices of our suppliers. We truly care about the materials we use and where they are sourced.
our experience
Our founder, Kristin, has over 20 years of experience in the jewelry industry, ten years in the teaching industry, and many years as a busy, working mom of all girls! Her passion for empowering women transcends into every aspect of the brand—from the jewelry, to service, to the community.

We have had great success and sales in our current retail locations, and we keep growing. Who knows where this journey will take us, but we know it is somewhere amazing!

Our mission isn’t to get you to stock Bird’s Tail just once; we want sales to be so great that you need to reorder regularly! We will work closely with you to help our jewelry SELL—we can help you with styling and branding our pieces so that YOU have success too!
I haven’t received a true “friendship” gift since elementary school. You know... the bracelets, the key chains and the necklaces from ***(insert disposable jewelry chain store)…
That is until today, when a friend so near and dear to me gave me my first Bird’s Tail piece of jewelry. I love it! And I love her even more for giving me a simple necklace that means the world to me. I’m a lucky girl.
